CPR-TCPD Dialogues presents a panel discussion of Dr S Y Quraishi’s book – The Population Myth: Islam, Family Planning and Politics in India. The discussion will focus on three main aspects of the book- the history of family planning policy with a focus on the emergency, reflections on the compatibility of Islam and family planning and a discussion of comparative statistics on the use of contraception.
