Urban Local Bodies Project
Local Bodies are institutions of local self-governance, and are broadly classified into Rural Local Bodies (Panchayats) and Urban Local Bodies (Municipalities). Local Bodies exist under Panchayati Raj or Municipality, the third tier of governance in India. This dataset consists of information on the Urban Local Body Elections for 8 Indian States – Bihar, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Telangana, West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh.
