Carole Spary from the University of Nottingham spent time with us at our weekly TCPD Research Workshop and discussed her book Performing Representation: Women Members in the Indian Parliament
We had lunch with Dr. Quraishi where Dr. Quraishi told us about his experiences during the elections in Pakistan. He discussed his observations in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. He also gave us a good comparative perspective of the Election Commissions in both India and Pakistan.
Professor Singer from Kenyon College, Ohio, spent some time chatting with the team and interns at TCPD. Interns working on collecting information about women leaders from different states across the country shared their findings. Professor Singer then shared her experiences from the field and encouraged all of us to speak with women leaders about their own experiences and what representation means to them.
